Wowee! These are really good Paul. You know what I then thought? If you are experimenting ( not with these two, leave them) but it would look quite quirky to add a bit of colour on top of some of the white markings. What do you think. Of course you might think “ Nooooo”😁
These look great Paul, it's nice to see people trying out new things.
I really like those sketches Paul. I must say I think working white on black paper looks great and have done a few. Like Marjorie’s suggestion too. It really is great to see us all trying new media’s and techniques !
Thank you Marjorie, Denise and Gillian for you comment, I had planned to try one with pastel added Marjorie.
This is a dip in and out subject and satisfying it’s a bit like talking to old friends thank you… I’m listening to Eva Cassidy sad music for me. and drawing Michelmass ( wrong spelling I know)  daisies from my garden it’s piddling down again so the car cleaning can wait.  Some lovely stuff being posted horses  guitars , buildings and experiments .   This will be another page in my special book.
And a beautiful page it will be as well Sylvia, lovely flowers and yes it like chatting to old friends , good isn’t it.  Eva Cassidy made some great songs.
Michaelmas daisies remind me of my Mum who died when I was a teenager . They are such pretty flowers! I also love this page as I also feel I am chatting to old friends, I love it !

Lovely Michelmas daisies Sylvia.   I have been sketching today!  All in an hour and a half.
I must get to grips with portraits soon.  Like these three Linda .it’s amazing what reminds us of people Gillian, flowers, music …Bette Midler is on now .   Is it nearly G &T time ?
Excellent portraits Linda, that’s something I do find difficult, you have done a really good job of them . Two quick sketches from me still messing about with the gell pen to do the horse . The buffalo sketch wax using pastel something I don’t use a lot , it from a photo showing a buffalo with frost on it face .
Nice sketching Linda and Paul the first one reminds me of the ones we used to do on scraper board ..l have spent the morning on a pencil sketch of Glamis Castle ..0.9 pentel propelling pencil with a 'B' lead..
Lovely drawing Bari. This is a re sketch of one  did in the 80s then engraved it on glass , .black paper white gel pen about 15 minutes.
