Your lamp is excellent Tessa, I wouldn't be able to achieve the tones with pencil, I really like charcoal and pastel, they blend so well. That's a great charcoal sketch Gillian. Lovely sketches Bari and some smashing equestrian drawings from Paul and Faye. I started a miners painting today in oils, the colours are quite drab at the moment, so tonight I did a rather colourful sketch for fun.
Bari, I like the way your sketch highlights the slope of the fields. Your guitarist is a great shot of vibrant colour Denise.

Like your guitarist Denise the colours are excellent. A quick sketch from me about 35-40 min blacksmith showing a horse. The paper look an odd colour due to the light.
Very colourful Denise,  need some LED Lights Paul nice working horse..I'm just glad to be out and about..First of many sketches I hope cataloguing my stay in Scotland..
I was at Broughty ferry a few weeks ago.  I didn’t sketch though, only took pics.  I thought I was photographing a group of cormorants in the water, but it turned out to be an upside down shopping trolley.  I was looking at the wheels sticking out of the water!  Got some good shots of the bridges though for later reference for painting.    When I got home I found that I had an ancient map of Dundee which I didn’t know I had…..  Also went to the Highland wildlife Park and saw some wonderful animals, artic fox, snow leopards, European bison….  Great trip. Also went to Bass Rock to see the gannets, which will also end up in a painting one day….
You all know about my lack of sketching, but I didn’t know where else to put this.  I have been experimenting with textures using poly filler, tissues, glue, palette knives, spoons, pastry brushes, skewers, modellers ballast, flockand any thing else I can get my hands on.  The result is above.

I then tried to make it into a picture and here it is.
Well there’s adventurous Linda , good on you for experimenting, and what a great end result in your painting. Must be something in the air everyone seems to be trying new things, brilliant let’s have more .
There is plenty of texture in your painting Linda, what a great idea.
That's great Linda. Love it. Love the way you have pretty much used everything. Lol. Fabulous 👌
You are right Faye, I went into the kitchen and picked up everything that I could (not the kitchen sink) and attacked the poly filler with it.
I bought some black paper pad yesterday very high quality, but reduced to silly money . My thought wax to do some pastels, but last night I tried out a white gell pen , the result reminded me very much of engravings I did on black glass many rears ago . I will experiment a bit more I think . Both were about 15 min sketches .
