You are ready to try any subject, any media Denise, and I think you’re having considerable success all round! I especially like the first drawing, a bit scary! I like an air of mystery in a picture, makes the viewer wonder what’s round the bend.
That sounds great Alan, knowing me, I'll, be wanting to drive it. Thanks Tessa, I never know what I want to do next because there are so many wonderful things to draw and paint.
A quick watercolour sketch of two abandoned whalers in South Georgia. The seals seem to love sheltering in the bay around the old whaling station.
Paul, I think your watercolour sketch is great and the seals give it a wonderful touch. I am sticking with trains this week and this is a quick sketch, which I found very difficult but it's giving me a feel for the lines and shapes of trains. I'm just doing another one now. Which I will probably find equally as difficult.
Looks really good Denise, your doing a great job of a difficult subject. Thanks for the comment.
Thanks Paul I've just finished my other sketch.
One of my earliest memories was of a steam train that appeared to be at the bottom of the garden.  We lived near the shunting yards and sheds and the steam trains would chug back and forth along the tracks.  Only visible to us from the upstairs windows as there was a huge corrugated iron fence shielding our gardens from the railway.  I love trains, great sketches Denise.  Love your watercolour sketch Paul.  Finally got back to a little light sketching, this is from my imagination.
Lots of great pieces of work posted since I was last here! I just haven’t got my mojo up and running at the moment plus having problems with internet too. Hopefully I can get back to it over the next few days! When I was a kid we also could see the steam trains from our garden. Funny how we look back and have fond memories despite the noise and pollution!
Nice sketching and painting , so varied in subject matter. Bit of time on my hands at the moment so I tried a sepia inktense pencil picture. From a time we were allowed to wonder around.
Saw this earlier Alan - as I said - a great drawing. I’ll have to get the Inktense pencils out and give them a go again. Here’s a quick sketch I did today of one of my grandkids. It might benefit from developing more with some Inktense colour tomorrow.
I do like the figures gents so here are some more of workmen across the road here this morning. We live across the road from a newish housing estate and they do like to dig up and re make the corners on the entrance at regular intervals!
Lovely sketches from everyone. Mine didn't turn out quite right, the head is far to big for the body. I'm sure I'll get there with plenty of practice at some point. It might give you a little giggle anyway because it is out of proportion.
