I know what you mean, but I’ve recently been filling a sketchbook with drawings from old photos from my iPad. Some are OK, some aren’t. I’ve been going through looking at them every day and picking out little bits of photos to draw or paint. I must admit that the paintings are going very slowly - I’ve got three on the go waiting to be finished - but I’ve been drawing everyday to keep my eye in. It’s amazing what you remember about the places and people you’ve seen, so I’m finding it rewarding. I’m less worried now about making a mess of things and I hope my drawing and painting is getting better. It’s been a great experience of learning by doing. As I’ve said, some work out, some don’t and some kinda work. I normally would only put something in the gallery or the forum if I liked it. However, in the spirit of pushing the boundaries a bit, here’s a pen and wash sketch that I think kind of worked. I might try it again some time as soon as I’ve figured out why I don’t like it.

Some excellent sketches Paul . Well last day of the month and only another month till years end, like most I will be glad to see the end of 2020. A  simple sketch from me to end the month hopefully we will be able to do this next year as we didn’t go-away this.

Great sketches everyone and Paul, it will be nice for things to start getting back to normal next year. Here is my sketch, I might do it as a watercolour maybe.
Glad I’m not alone in experiencing this inactivity, Hilary. I read the forum first thing in the morning and feel full of enthusiasm and inspiration, which quickly dissipates once I’m up and ready to start. Weird feeling, but hopefully December might prove better. I’m loving all the great figures and portrait sketches.
Last one for November, Here are some colourful ducks to brighten the day.
