Thanks Katy. Gillian I haven’t produced much in the last week or so either. Think it’s a combination of lockdown and Christmas shopping online! Hope you’re settling in ok?
Yes I am Tessa,  thanks very much! I am currently in my daughters annexe so have my own space with a small sitting room, kitchenette, bedroom and wet room . But can go in and out of her house too. Like to give them space though! As you can imagine I can’t leave my art stuff lying about . Will be here a while as my house won’t be ready to move into until April or thereabouts! MUST get sketching tomorrow!!
Gillian, glad you are settling in, of sorts. At least sketching doesn’t take up too much room, in the winter I tend to be on the dining room table because it’s expensive to heat the workshop so I limit myself to watercolour and pencil. This is last nights play whilst watching tv.
I especially like the colour version Katy, a very familiar scene around here as we live within a few hundred yards of a riding school and my walk generally takes me that way.
Hello everyone - love all sketched being posted on this thread. It’s always a privilege to see other people’s sketchbooks. Thanks for the kind comments on my last posting. I’ve going through my photos from my phone from my last couple of trips before lockdown and have two sketches I did yesterday. The first was from a photo I took in Bergen Market last year. Lovely (but very expensive seafood). The second is of a lady in a metering shop in Rye.
Good sketches Paul, especially the second one. I like your style. What is a metering shop or am I being dim!?
Great sketches Katy and Paul! Just done a teasel in pastel pencils, desperate to play with unison soft pastels but can’t do it my daughters house because of the resulting dust!
Thanks Tessa and Gillian. Sorry - a material shop. Predictive typing always gets me.
Thanks Tessa and Gillian. Glad you’ve got going Gillian, lovely teasel. I know what you mean about pastel dust, it gets everywhere! Great figure sketches Paul. This is something I did a time ago which I finished off yesterday, it was from an online tutorial.
Started a sketch today, but carried away by added some watercolour, so I posted in the Gallery instead, as a watercolour sketch. I ended up sketching another figure from my phone from a visit last year to Barcelona. Everyone was wearing overcoats - it was in February - although it was beautifully warm.
Lovely sketches everyone and Katy, I love the horses. Paul, I've just come across your watercolour on the gallery and It's very nice. Here are two sketches, one I've already painted. The other it a dark archway, with a door at the end, which I'm going to try and paint in watercolour. There is much darkness with streams of light, so, I don't know if I will be successful painting it.
I really like the sketch of the archway Denise, be interesting to see it in watercolour. Mine is another sketch of the new man in my life, my chunky little Harley ❤️
