I don't do Facebook but its been brought to my attention this morning that Dawn has put my " Sunflower" painting along with an apology for lack of posts this week, I would just like to thank her for the quick response to help iron out most of our problems, Linda Drury You're welcome Linda! And thanks for providing such lovely work for me to share on our Facebook page!

I do miss the "New Posts" one-click option on the Forum though; it's a really useful feature which saves you having to trawl through the whole Forum section to see what's occurrin' and it's on all the other Forums I visit - sometimes it'll give you 3 or 4 items and others there'll be eight pages. Its absence detracts from the usefulness of the Forum

Been having a look round, the various glitches are being sorted. Good work by the POL team. I see if you go to 'my account'/'my art' and click on a thumbnail, you get the big picture with all the comments. (This wasn't happening before...still no 'top 5 most viewed...maybe that's not going to happen.) No doubt they'll get round to the forum, not as good as it was. Less easy to find things...no 'views' on each thread. I like that for reasons stated elsewhere. Don't think I'll be posting any new topics until the forum gets it's attention. Odd things happening in the banner of pictures across the top of the 'gallery' page...these are selected by POL and used to hang around for a day or so...now they zip through, and there are a lot of blank spaces if you try to scroll through them. The oddest thing was they had some of my work in the banner. Clearly something wrong, this never happens. I expect it'll get sorted, and I will regain my rightful place in obscurity.
Overall it's looking good and getting there. My one real fear, that it would be swamped by sale items hasn't happened. (Apart from that couple of days of mega postings). Things have calmed down and it's pretty even handed...let's hope it remains that way.

Yes the top banner is on a sort of rolling random basis rather than Dawn’s daily selection.
There have been a large number of useful features deleted from the new site, this is the reason why there has been so many initial complaints - not least being the removal of the daily postings limit, which I immediately spoke to Dawn about and had reinstated after we were hit with 20 posts by one artist!
It is slowly returning to some normality, issues are getting dealt with on an almost daily basis, and I’m confident that we’ll get there eventually.

After the usual howling, kicking, screaming and wailing about change in anything, ( I'm a black belt fifth Dan at it) 'm sure the new site format will soon be as near normality as it ever was. Great that the admin are taking notice of and addressing problems and it's all slowly( quite rapidly actually) coming together.
"Some of the people, some of the time" is ever a feature of daily life....(-:
