Similar problem here! I can search for other artists names and their whole gallery comes up. Something that was very hit and miss on the previous site. When I enter my name loads of other artists work appears with just a small handful of my work interspersed. I don’t suppose it particularly matters as I am unlikely to be searching for myself!

I found that as well. Alan.  So many Evanses and a smattering of Sylvia’s .  I get a bit precious on sharing my space.

I had the same problem Alan and Sylvia when I enter my name as "Mia Ketels" in the gallery search window, I had all the posting with the word "mia" in it. Typing "Miaketels" (in one word) it only gives my own work. Is that of any help? http://www.painters-online.co.uk/artist/MiaKetels

Thank you Mia I will try that. Though your name is not very usual so I am surprised you found the same thing.,Us Evanses are ten a penny, especially here in Wales.

Thank you Tessa! Yes, I did it twice and there are 6 pages of me. However, you have to go to the "Gallery" page, as I understand you can't do it from the home page. But why then we have this search box on the home page if it does not work.? I think it did work in the past. Another thing is that our individual free web page had a web address and  was accessible from Goggle. So you could give this address to people or put it on your visit card. But it seems we don't have this address anymore.  Dmitry

When I search for myself I get my own work, sometimes with the comments, sometimes not and a geographical trip around Scotland - the Moray Firth, the Firth of Clyde, the Firth of Forth , Cromarty Firth, Solway Firth...🤔

Doesn’t work for me Tessa, brings up every man and his dog but not a sign of my stuff. As I said earlier, for me personally, this isn’t an issue. Just to reiterate that I couldn’t find anyone on the previous site, at least this one does work. There has been an almost constant stream of questions and issues since this new site was launched.  I’ve said previously that many useful features have been removed for reasons that I don’t understand. This has been the main reason for all these questions.

Just to reiterate a couple of points of concern. Today I noticed that my recent monochromatic painting, "Emerging", had received 18 comments but only 1 view. Got to be impossible Also, the "Next" feature on the Gallery pages is less efficient than numbered pages. I was searching for a painting about ten minutes ago, fancying it was around the page 4 mark (not one of mine btw) and instead of simply clicking on 4 I had to go through every page. If this was a page 9 search the procedure could become tedious. Is there any chance of reverting to the old way of numbering pages? It would help enormously.

I agree Alan that there are useful functions missing, and some strange little niggles which will hopefully get sorted. Just browsing this thread I notice that the number of posts against someone’s name does not increase. For instance Sylvia on this page is stuck fast on 943. You might think that’s nit picking but why add the number if it doesn’t increase. I can imagine it’s a huge amount of work changing a website like this, and at the moms I’m finding some of it improved, and some less impressive, but I’m still finding my way around, and they do seem to taking account of comments/ suggestions.

Bri! I do agree with you but I was responding to Alan’s post before you. I think we were typing at the same time. I’m still finding some of this a bit clunky at the mo!
