You did put that so well to Gillian, Robert it did give me a chuckle. I started with the coloured pencils but have stopped. It has taken me quite a time to do one magnolia. I estimate it will take 5 or 6 hours to finish, so I will finish it off another day.

I look forward to seeing the finished work - it's going well!
Are we turning into a dating site now......Watch that Robert person Gillian...Like your use  of coloured pencils Denise.  I use Derwent coloured  and Inktense.    Yes they do take much longer than painting with a brush , my A3 flower paintings can take hours when I can do an acrylic the same size in a fraction of the time.  Sometimes I just find the subject dictates my use of medium .
I am posting the pen drawing of the cortijo with a watercolour wash
This has a lovely fresh feel to it. The colour washes add so much to what was already a a good sketch and I like the tree shadows on the wall, which give it depth. Well done!
Decided to do some sketching last night unfortunately I picked a subject that I love but find very difficult to draw . I thing it’s all the different angles and shapes in such a small area, I will think about doing it as a painting it’s a long while since I dis a steam engine.
It's a great sketch Paul.
Lovely work boys and girls! This is a quick sketch I did last week of the side door of a pub nearby.
Quick sketch
Another sketch
There's some nice work here. I love the train sketch Paul. I admire people who can do quick sketches, as I struggle with them, so you all have my admiration.
Thanks Bill, it’s all a matter of practice and more practice I try do sketch every day even if it only a very quick doodle . I very rarely watch tv so I either read or sketch also it helps with my hand problems and keeps the old grey matter ticking over , well I think so.
Preparative sketch for my first ever portrait in acrylics . I start with some trepidation as mixing skin tones is completely out of my comfort zone!
