That is fabulous Gillian… big well done. I had this guy fluttering around my head about 5.30 am.  Then he landed in my bedside lamp ,apparently a small tortoise shell . Tried to make him more comfortable in the open garage but he just flew off , . Don’t know his fate.   Anyhow he’s now in coloured pencil in my sketch book.

A 15 minute sketch in my pad that I’m using for old vehicles etc.  Made it back but was dumped for scrap , actually old aircraft were used for rescue crews to practice on . Once at a actual aircraft crash you needed to know what to use and how to use it , cutting up and burning old aircraft ,  saved many a life . L

Thanks for the lovely comments! I  am enjoying getting back into painting! Lovely sketches Paul and like you when I see snowdrops I think of spring! I also have crocus popping through!

Good sketch of the aircraft Paul. Beautiful butterfly Sylvia and nice charcoal sketch Gillian. I've got a canvas, primed but could not start anything due to a heavy cold. I settled down to a bit of charcoal sketching on the sofa. It started to remind me of a very young Queen, so I threw a crown and some pearls on and ended up with this. Probably looks nowt like her, I dId say I had a heavy cold and probably delirious.😁
