Got a look of a young Maureen Lipman ..Nice sketch hope you're feeling better soon .  My sketch is a quick biro drawing of a farm house in my daughters village
Some great sketches from everyone ..feel better soon Denise.
Nice work from everyone, I’ve been a bit lazy on the sketching side for the last couple of days , no excuse just couldn’t be bothered for some reason. Todays is the basic sketch for a tug boat painting, ohh not another bloody boat I hear , I just can’t resist trying different ones , I know to some people they all look the same . Anyway the sketch is on A3 mixed media paper .
Nothing wrong with an old boat Paul! You draw and paint them so well and they are a pleasure to see!
Thank you Gillian , I must admit to boats been been a favourite subject.
I'm with you Paul boats and harbours throw in a couple of lobster pots, it doesn't get any better. My sketch of the day is in biro again, just a couple of guys under one of my Bonsai trees

Like your boat Paul awaiting the finished piece.  Bari you must listen to the Archers.
Not every day but keep up with the story line. My two trees are grown from seed both are over 40 years old one Oak one Ash both live outside..
Thank you for your comment on my boat paintings , not always  possibly to add the lobster pots Bari they do look a bit odd in a major port but I agree there is a place them . Todays is a pencil sketch of a MK111 Avro  Shackleton , a maritime reconnaissance and anti submarine patrol aircraft. A lot were scraped in the late 1970s and used in  the burning areas for practice fires or went to the p scrap dealer. This is a burning area aircraft ,  two sets of propellers per engine as the were counter rotating.

Nice aircraft sketch with the history, as I live on Burtonwood airfield (as was) lots of aircraft history all around. As a teenager we used to get into the 10 pin bowling alley we'll before it became popular over here.  Just picked up a sketch book to do some work and found this sketch I did of Winchester.
Just as an after thought the frames on my pictures is a nice little free app called 'simple frame'. Easy to use and lots of colours...
Great sketches everyone. I did a sketch of my son's partner, my grandson's mum. I planned to do some watercolours today but I've practically lost my voice and wasn't up to it. I was happy with the unplanned sketch and now I might actually try to paint her in watercolours and try and get a true likeness. I also did a head sketch of one of JSS, drawings.
