Lovely lady, Paul - it looks worthy of developing a painting. Your buildings and ice skates look fine, Denise.  What is your problem with buildings?  Is it perspective?
I think it is Linda, I haven't had much practice at drawing houses close together. When I did try to paint them, it just didn't look right but I just couldn't quite figure it out. I think if I do some sketching and revisit it, things might click into place. I'm going to spend the week sketching the subject I think.
I expect you can find something on the internet about it.  Try looking for one vanishing point perspective, then two vanishing point perspective.
Really like your lady Paul. Denise your urban sketch is a good start. Getting the perspectives right can be difficult at first but practice is the key. Waste paper bin from me!
Very nice sketch Gillian. I have decided I need to practice sketch horses a thin I find hard to sketch. This was an attempt using pencil and water soluble pencils must forgive the pun plod on and do some more. Photo was from Speen rest home for horses.
Starngly I see the similarity between the basket and the horses head!  I don’t see Gillian as a basket case,  bit brave to take on that kind of detail.  It reminds me that I have a photo of one of my late cats sitting in a waste paper basket, which I might attempt drawing.  Thank you for the inspiration. Paul, having drawn and posted a horse yesterday, it looks to me as this one is not long enough in the nose, but I have not seen the reference photo.  However it still looks like a horse, so well done.
Like the horsePaul it’s a subject I have only tackled a couple of times! Linda some would consider me a basket case at times! Certainly thought why am I sketching this once I started! This was again  my thought as I attempted today’s jug. Bit ‘flat’ but I hate drawing pots etc so need to have a go!

He won his  last race by a short nose Linda. According to the details with the photo it’s  a cross bread of  wild pony and horse of some sort , all I know about horses is normally have a leg at each corner .I wonder what the name is for a cross between a horse and a pony ? .
They are all Equus even Zebras.. I looked up Speen and found red kites in the Chilterns, but I painted one of those last week. Gillian if you turn up the contrast on your picture, it will look less flat. Meanwhile, I applied a blue wash for the sky behind my peacock, which did not work terribly well.  But I’ve done it now and it can’t be undone.
Gillian, often the simplest object makes a good sketch subject. I like your waste basket and jug. Paul, your horse certainly seems at rest. Like the contrast with the use of water soluble pencil. Linda, the wash looks ok and works well with the colour of the wings. Continuing on my breakfast theme, got to get in quick before things get messy.
Really enjoying the banter, flat pots, baskets, horses that look like baskets, breakfast, flying peacock ( I don’t think I’ve seen one fly) and on the previous page some cracking figures and much more. Mine is an equine too, a pastel sketch of a friends exmoor in preparation for a painting maybe.
Very nice flying peacock Linda they are quite spectacular in flight , but don’t look very aerodynamic . I have my coffee just plain black please Ron. Nice horse Katy I must try doing one in pastel. I have the itch to sketch people doing every day work tasks a pencil sketch using  both pencil an soluble pencil.  One photon before the water was applied with a brush , I need to use a small brush next time as I flooded the sketch a bit.
