Love the little dog Sylvia. A few of years ago we met a lady with the same cross breed, it was very old and we were walking a similar aged Bijon we had inherited from my Dad. The lady’s dog flew at ours and once order resumed it turned out the lady had been considering the final vet visit that very day and because of the sudden surge of spirit changed her mind! Some cracking figure sketches Tessa and Denise, love the Cheddar Gorge Paul, Japanese garden from Gillian and the roadside sketch from Tessa. Bet I’ve missed something out! Mine is a little autumn water soluble pen sketch from imagination.
Lampshades are definitely out. We had great laughs watching our dog try to get through the door, had to trim it.( the lampshade, not the door). Sam looks as tho' he's checking to see if you're laughing at him.
Paul, the pen really adds to the watercolour - very nice indeed. Silvia - what a fantastic sketch of Sam.  It really made me laugh. Katy, what a colourful imagination you have. I really can’t keep up with this thread.
Linda, really liked your canal scene, I knew I would forget somethng!
My apologies for the lack of acknowledgment for the many fantastic sketches adorning these pages. Who needs to go to an art gallery when you have talent like this on our forum. There are days when I can detect the burst of enthusiasm, though unfortunately it’s not as catching as you know what 😉. Not to be a ‘party-pooper’, I’ve decided to do some more of my Breakfast series painting so here is a small sketch of the next subject. Hope the painting turns out better than my last few, which I don’t think I’ll be uploading to my gallery. Need to do some serious work on my colours, particularly regarding chroma.
Nice work Sylvia, Katy and Ron. A page from my pad I’ve stared to do small sketches of old farm buildings and other thing I will need when developing a landscape painting. Used soft colour pencil just to get the idea of colours.
Great sketching everyone. Mine is a bit faint because I've just sketched it out and I'm going to paint it.
Too many to comment on, all lovely! This was done after watching someone on tv wearing a rather natty hat and I was struck by the way it cast a shadow over his eyes.
Nice one Tessa.  Today I have been mostly drawing a flying peacock, but it is not really going well.  The blues are not bright enough and the dark feathers need more work.
Looks pretty good to me Linda, you’ve certainly got the movement and the wings are super!
Some great sketching  going on the forum. A quick pencil sketch of an old lady sorting vegetables.
I must say I love the sketch of the chap in the natty hat. Very good Tessa and Linda, I have to admit, I have never seen a peacock fly and I really like your picture. I've done two sketches. The first one is out of proportion, I was getting ideas down for a possible painting. I want to do a very rusty shed. The second, I am not good at build up areas and my friend encouraged me to do a sketch. I have real difficulty painting houses, so I think I will try sketching a few built up areas for the next week then try and paint one.
