Good one Denise, that has a look of Lowry about it! Interesting you’ve left the faces to our imagination. Another clever collection from Stephen, and a nice little stack of books from Gillian. Simon, good to see you posting your drawings, with a surname like yours, how can you go wrong!? Mine today is just a sketch of my right hand, but I swear my fingers aren’t that fat- like sausages! Shows how easy it is to get the wrong look. 🤭
Nice sketches and paintings  over the last few day again , good to see it’s still going well. I was practicing with both oil and soft pastels this week  this was my attempt with soft pastel something I’ve used very rare cannot remember the last time. On paper from a pad for pastels.
That’s really good Paul, pastels work well for pet portraits. Like the ‘Lowry’ figures Denise, and the small pile of books Gillian and Tessa’s fat fingers🤣. Stephen, I don’t know how you keep it up, lovely group of sketches. Mine is a miniature 3”x3” watercolour of our childhood dog Danny. Probably a birthday card for my brother.
Smashing hand Tessa. Lovely animal portraits Paul and Katy. I think I'm going to try and stick to figures this month. Trying not to think about the figures but more on movement. I'm not trying to think I'm just trying to do so I tried to do this fast. A couple of minutes.

Well Denise your quick figures have a lovely natural look and sense of movement. Sometimes a short time limit makes us concentrate on picking out the most important points and stops us fiddling and overworking a piece. I especially like the two figures on the left. The two dogs are also lovely Katy and Dixie. Pastels work well as Katy said, Dixie your dog face is smooth and soft looking as should be.  I’m watching the Sky landscape artist programme and did this pencil sketch of a view they mentioned with children running around in the shade of a tree.
It's a great sketch Tessa, I missed Landscape Artist last night. I've done two quick sketches this evening keeping with the same theme.
Here is the second.
Good idea to draw people going upstairs Denise. I especially like the running figure.
Good idea to draw people going upstairs Denise. I especially like the running figure. Our art group theme this week was to do a painting from the contents of our kitchen cupboard, and this is the sketch for my painting.
French canal in watercolour pencil.  I’m slowly using up all the paper that I don’t like and debating whether to recompose this and do an oil of the same scene, if I have time.  Can’t help thinking this would have been a lot better in a line and wash style.

That's very pretty Linda, I like it very much. Even though I'm not painting any moving figures, in my spare time when I'm not painting, I'm trying to learn a bit more about them.
Thank you Denise.  Your proportions for length of limbs looks about right, but don’t forget the hands and feet.  Feet are about the same length as the head.  Hands are about the same as chin to eyebrow.
