This ones for Dixie, its a vintage 1930 ford, I have drawn and painted it left handed just to see how difficult it can be.  you must have the patience of a saint Dixie, I had to sit on my right hand so as not to cheat. keep going Dixie, that's a fantastic landscape by the way. Nice Gulls Margaret,
That is a great painting Alan, you have done it beautifully. It certainly makes you concentrate, and  can be frustrating too at times when you unintentionally go the wrong way,  really well done for giving it a go.

Linda, these wee crystal things are so complicated!  You have made a nice job of this one - you can see the glittering facets beautifully.   Alan, that is so good!   Even better for being your wrong hand!
I like the watercolour Paul, the shadows make it. Sounds like a lovely walk Margaret and gull sketching. You got the essence of the crystal and facets Linda, Alan, you've gone on to another challenge! It came out well. This is a sketch from a photo I sneaked earlier. The " invalid" playing Top Trumps with his grandpa.
great work again everyone, I have not had a lot of time today for sketching, but will be at sketch club tomorrow so will get something done then

Further to yesterday's sketches, I found that although all arms are above the waist it was only after someone mentioned toilets and hands that I suddenly saw that there was a line that altered everything so I have removed that particular sketch.  How embarrassing!

Not embarrassing Gudrun. I bet we've all had something like that happen. I remember, some time ago, a member of our art group produced an abstract which someone else named " Builder's bum". It was sold at the exhibition ( the buyer saw something very deep in it ) but we all ( including the artist)thought of it as "B.'s B. You just have to smile sometimes.
Nice pen sketch of your daughters flat Tessa, Paul I think your painting is fab, especially with your left hand, carry on just using the brush instead of pencil, it makes it a lot looser, Margaret lovely quick gull sketches, you are so brave to weather the elements!!, Hope your grandson recovers soon Marjorie, my effort today is a small crystal swan that I have, unfortunately the sun kept going in and out so I lost my way a bit, graphite pencil and uni pens in black and white.

Thanks.  It just proves the point that the mind is a powerful thing.  Literally, you see what you think you see.  I have amended the sketch so he is no longer heading for an accident!  My husband did laugh.
Marjorie what a lovely sketch of your grandson and his grandad, Gudrun it did make me laugh to see your sketch, but I was too polite to say he looked like he needed the loo!! looks better now he's been!!! Well done Alan for having a go with the left hand and thank you Jim for commenting on my crystal swan.

Thank you Linda!  I agree.  I was concentrating on movement.  I have been playing with some paint today.  Even more strange depending on your view.  Not finished yet ....
The young Mick, today's offering!!
