Sorry my contribution has been lacking somewhat, just caught up with what I've missed so far this thread makes an excellent read :-) Fantastic sketches with a general emphasis on portraits. Really like your Van Gogh style sketch Christopher and the idea of it too(sorry about your car 🙁). Sorry your hand is still poorly Dixie, hope it improves soon, liking the non dominant hand sketches here. Wonder if I will manage anymore sketches before the month ends!
I like your boats a lot Dixie - lovely soft colours. I can't believe it is nearly the end of the month!   It has been great fun.   A few days to go, looking forward to see the rest of the sketches.   Anjana, glad you have managed to join in a bit :) You may all have had enough of daily sketches but is anybody interested in continuing this into March?
I was hoping you would make an offer Margaret. It would feels like loosing a friend, I’m up for it I can only improve my skills. I think having the challenge does get you to do something. I’m still hoping to I get to do a portrait.
I will definitely keep sketching regularly, something I didn't do before. I think I've definitely improved as a result. In March, I won't contribute every day but I will look in and comment - and post one every now and then. This is just because I'm going to concentrate on painting and try to go out to paint " en plein air". I've enjoyed the chat and want to continue that, it's been good to " have company".
Lovely boats Dixie and thank you for your kind words. Back to art group this morning so normal life resumed although only four of us there due to a little overnight snow. Started a drawing earlier so I will post that when finished. Margaret I’m happy to continue through March. I think if I stopped I’d have withdrawal symptoms! It makes me do something every day even if it’s only a quickie, and that can only help our skills and observation. 😀
I'm sure most people will continue to contribute throughout March even if not quite as often., I know sketching everyday has definitely improved on how quickly I can produce a sketch without spending hours on them. As spring and summer approach I won't post as often due to more outdoor jobs taking over but will comment from time to time.
Sketching is helping me immensely, and you all are such a lovely bunch it's an aye from me too, but don't think I will be very regular with contributing, will dip in and out.
I know I’ve not posted on a regular basis in this lovely challenge life really does get in the way.   .  I’m posting this I did ages ago on a a holiday to one of our favourite places on Kefalinia .  It’s a very ancient olive tree in an old churchyard over looking Sami.  Every year I drew or painted it.  I’ve just rediscovered it in a pile of Sylvs sketchbooks along with other holiday stuff.  So forgive me if it’s not done today.  Hopefully this thread will continue.....forever.....

Sylvia it matters not that it was done sometime ago, as has been said life goes on. I think we all had put something up that is not done on the day due to life’s pressure. I love the colours and it must have been interesting doing it each year and recording the difference.
How could you not put that on Sylvia, its so full of colour and great lines, and as Paul say's, it doesn't matter if it was done a while ago I've put old stuff on as well!! today's sketch is from a photo taken a couple of years ago to a visit at Hodsock Priory for the snowdrop walk, just outside of Worksop,
I love your olive tree Sylvia, beautiful colours and shapes; and Linda, such a lovely composition and I do like these soft colours along with the ink. Sounds like there is enough interest to set up a March thread - though I'm not sure if I will manage to post every day either - as we are getting geared up to get stuff done on house.   I'm so pleased people have been enjoying this - I certainly have :)
Lots of lovely sketches, paintings, and holiday memories, the ideas seam to keep coming. Me Im stuck now on self portraits, I can't seem to be able to stop. another 3 hrs today, and I'm still struggling, even though the faces are getting better. Is it me I don't know.
