Nice work again everyone, I managed to get to sketch club this morning so here's the brief and sketch,
Beautiful double portrait of your husband and grandson - very tender.  Hope the invalid has recovered.   Linda, super sketch of a young Mick - instantly recognisable; Christopher - that was a  very interesting and challenging brief!  you have followed the brief very successfully. At art class today - was a free composition/finishing off day - finished off a watercolour of the  church we meet in; then did a painting and this quick study of beautiful tulips that one of members of the class, Gillian, had brought in and kindly let me paint too.   This was done with a watercolour marker and Caran D'Ache Neocolor II water soluble wax crayons.

Were you a fan, Linda? Being Northern, I was true to the Beatles ( who I saw in Newcastle after sleeping on the pavement for tickets), but I also saw the Stones live too. Their music is great too. Good sketch! Christopher, your sketch in the style of VG is excellent, too. Good ideas at your club. Margaret, the tulips look particularly good in the interior setting. You are the tulip queen! My art materials have been delayed because one item was out of stock!
Good drawing Christopher, nice gentle sketch of the tulips Margaret. No I wasn't a fan Marjorie, I was an Elvis fan and my favourite Brit was Adam Faith!! I know I can hear you all groaning, I actually went to see him at Bridlington on our honeymoon, oh and yes this one is for Sylvia, I liked Joe Brown !!!
hello everyone, hope you all have a good day. Linda a very good likeness of Mick , Christopher I like the way your art club works, great brief and a good sketch. Margaret great flowers the colours are all in harmony . all good musicians then, Beatles, stones, Adam faith, Elvis, and Joe Brown. Im just to young to remember them first hand, (just) but I grew up listening to Acker Bilk, Kenny ball, Tommy Steel, Lonnie Donegan. My Dad was a skiffle fan. this is what I have been unto today,Its soft pastel on Valour paper, from an on line art class by Vic Bearcroft.
Pretty impressive, that, Alan.
Some extremely good sketch’s and paintings today a lot of hard work folks. My effort is a bit of a cheat as I used a sketch that I started a week ago, and put the  finishing touches to  it  today. Had a busy day and this is in my comfort zone and relaxing to do.
Wow, another day of variety of subjects and media, portraits, animals, flowers, trucks! They’re all great, not going to mention all individually today. Been to a funeral today and a memorial service yesterday, so not in much of a mood for sketching, but Watched Tony Robinson’s Coast to Coast walk and this came into my head- done in pen and watercolour.
It's a good one Paul and relax is good. Tessa, a very attractive pen and wash. My sketch is of D. H. Bbut my pencils misbehaved a bit on the mouth and I haven't got a fine eraser. ( Have ordered a battery one)
Some great sketches today - that tiger is very impressive, Alan; I like your vintage trucks Dixie; lovely pen and wash, Tessa; beautiful delicate sketch Marjorie - your portraits are so good.
A great looking tiger. Alan, Tessa sorry you have had a couple of bad days, you steps are great. Marjorie what an I say other than your portraits are absolutely brilliant, wish I could do them half as good. I’ve keep with brush work today, some old barges on the Orwell, what I’ve tried to do is give then an old fashioned look, hope it’s worked. Good luck with the next few days, the month has gone so quick, and we have an extra day too.
I like the old barges Paul, like the toned down colours and the grey sky and sea.
