Denise your dog is gorgeous! I’m sure he would just love to be painted.  We’ve had quite steady snow here today so I haven’t been out but did this sketch from photos and imagination.

That's a great sketch Tessa. I've never painted fur before but there are a few back issues of the magazines with articles in I remember seeing when I've been looking through them. I'll have to have a look.
Wow a busy day sketching by all of you. to many to mention. I have been a lucky boy today, I have received so watercolour paint for my birthday, Been wanting to try these paints for a while now, but never could afford them. So watch this space. Dog fur, Denise I have attempt various ways, and sad to say its still work in progress. But it is great fun attempting.  Day 5 offering is this, sorry for the poor quality of paper it was a cheap sketch book, which I am using both sides of the paper.
Some nice sketches , Denise, Gillian, Tessa and Alan . I’m enjoying your twelve day of Christmas Alan and look forward to each one Happy Birthday and enjoy your new paints. A sketch in progress or is it a drawing I tends to get confused with witch it is . A rust abandoned bulldozer.
Alan your 5 gold rings took me back to a memory of a school Xmas play I was in many years ago. That was my line. 5 golden rings. I was so nervous, I got them wrong, I think I said, 5 golden hens. My mum and dad were in the audience, everyone erupted into laughter and the rest of the song went wrong from there. Everyone forgot their lines in the confusion and laughter. The parents all said it was the best xmas concert ever. I still laugh about it all these years on.
Happy Birthday Alan, love the gold rings and your memory Denise.  Great figure drawing Tessa, this is something I definitely need to try I’m a bit nervous of figure work.  As always your farm machinery fascinates Paul, so much detail.  Mine today is not so much a sketch but a little “loose”watercolour pear on very wet paper, took about 10 minutes.
Yes, Happy Birthday Alan, Have a great day. Maybe you could paint your birthday cake.
Thank you for the Birthday wishes. Love your story of the 12 days of Christmas Denise, sorry to say no cake for meat we have loads of cakes left over from Christmas, but I was bought some custard tarts, so I might sketch one of those. Love the pear Hillary. Paul another great sketch.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Alan. a smashing gift you've had. Hope you get to paint the custard tarts! Smashing work, everyone. Dixie, you rusty old crawler was used in the 'good ol' days' for ploughing during the war, to clear fern banks etc to increase grazing pasture for the animals releasing flatter pasture to grow extra crop to feed the country, nice work.

Lot of great sketches over the last couple of days, the pear is really good Hilary, and the parent and child walking Tessa. The dog is looking good Denise. Happy birthday Alan, lucky you to get some new paints, better than cake any day. That’s the problem with a birthday just after Xmas, I know, mine is tomorrow! Good rusty bulldozer Paul. Nothing from me today, yet.
Happy Birthday Alan, always good to get new paints you might not get yourself. I’m also enjoying your 12 days, though must admit at the beginning I thought you were going to be very brave to go for the full numbers! You’d have been exhausted by day 12. Love the pear Hilary, you shouldn’t have told us it only took ten minutes! Dixie your bulldozer is a complicated fellow to draw. You do like a challenge!  Denise I love your Christmas concert story! Wonderful. As a child I once fell off the side of the stage while playing recorder in a school concert. We were so tightly packed, I happened to be right on the end, just my luck! 😢🤭
Practicing last night with pens something I don’t normal draw with. Result was ok but I need more practice, I’ve only had the pens since June, not really got around to using them before now.
