That's a beautiful page of trees Paul.
Great sketches, I did a detailed response to everyone, scrolled back two pages to see if I’d missed anything and lost it all! It happened yesterday too😟 I’ve done a bit more to my ‘three favourite things’ drawing/sketch so I’ll post it because I’ve done nothing else. Happy New Year everyone.
That looks fantastic Katy, Happy New Year to everyone on the forum and best wishes for 2021.
Thanks Denise, I did like your goblet and ferry drawings, you are very talented! Happy new year x
in case it get busy later, I will take this quite moment to thank you all for your friendship, a wish you a better new year. As there might not be fireworks to see the old year out, I painted this today with BRUSHO.
Really good Alan, I like the contrast between the foreground and figures with the burst of Brusho colours.
Happy New Year to all my forum friends! Let’s look forward to a better year ahead! I have been trying pesky oil pastels yet again with rubbish results  ( you’d think I would just give up! )here’s the excuse for an Apple! Not sure if I can be bothered again but time will tell! Just can’t get them to blend!

Happy New Year to all on the forum.  Thank you for your continued help and encouragement.  My offering for today is more sploshing of paint.
Well Hilary, I would be thrilled if I could splash watercolour like that! Gillian, have you tried a tiny bit of white spirit to help blend. It’s strange how we all respond to different mediums. Don’t give up!
Thank you Katy.  Gillian I have also heard that baby oil helps to blend them not tried this though.
More lovely sketches - I particularly like Alan's joyous fireworks.  Haven't posted in here for months (got caught up in genealogy - really time consuming!) but as I posted in the original thread on 1 January, I might as well post on 31 December!  Here is one I started before breakfast this week when I opened the window and saw the snow and the lovely morning light - quick(ish) watercolour sketch with ink added. Hoping for a much better 2021 for everybody.

Hilary/Gillian, I have tried oil pastel with baby oil, it flows beautifully but doesn’t dry properly for ages whereas white spirit dries quickly. Lovely sketch Margaret. I also got caught up with genealogy a couple of winters ago, got back to the 16th century with some lines, very addictive!
