Good effort dixie, I draw with Graphic pens quite a lot, it stops me fiddling, As I can't rub out it makes me think what and how I am going to draw. Changing nib size also helps to create interesting effects. As requested here are my birthday treats from last nights tea.
Ok Birthday treats all eaten, As for the scone I am normally Jam on top of cream sort of guy, Do not know why I painted cream on Jam. Oh well either way round will be wrong. Day 6 of the 12 Days of Christmas offering, sorry its not all 6 geese a laying but I was short on time and tied when I drew them all.
You are all sketching with a vengeance and they are all wonderful. Gosh it’s years since I had a custard tart ( I can’t eat wheat so not able to have them anymore 😢). Hope you had a great day Alan!

Whoops! Double key press!
Your birthday treats look very nice Alan, it a good job you do plenty of walking. Enjoying the 12 days of xmas.
A bit of a vintage car
I like your vintage car Gillian, sometimes I think objects can look very interesting when you just put a portion of the object into a picture. This is a glass vase/goblet.

Still trying to get the shape of a ferry right. I intend doing them from different angles to get plenty of practice and develop the shape.
Like you Denise, like the section of Gillian classic car. these types of drawing helps the brain to fill in the missing bits. Denise, good attempt, boat shapes I find hard because of all the different angles, and as I said about the car, your brain knows they are there, and wants you to draw it even if you can't see it. Day 7 is swans,

Nice work Denise, Gillian and Alan. A part finished or part drawn sketch does leave a lot to the imagination and adds interest. I was once told that a painting tells a story, and to leave something for the viewer to add. From me today, doodling with pens I have a sketch book that I like to keep sketch’s of trees in .  This  is a page I did last evening of Scots pine  beautiful trees that have fantastic shapes. Happy New Year to you all.
