Love your painting Alan. As Tessa said, climbing out of the fog of Christmas and sitting this morning with my sketchbook having a doodle.  This is a very quick sketch of one of the chairs in my lounge otherwise known as the cats chair, just to loosen up.
So, encouraged by Hilary and Alan, I set about my new sketchbook and did this pencil sketch of this vase of chrysanths bought on Christmas Eve.

Done one at last! Unflattering image of my friends nosey horse, with a pheasant perched on his ear, well why not?
Haha, why not indeed! Good one Hilary.
Like the chair Hilary, but no cat! Good vase of chrysanthemums Tessa.
Ha Ha! Yes the cat deserted the chair just as I was settling down to draw, like they do.  Spend hours sleeping in one position but show them your pencil and they’re off in a flash, typical!  Lovely flowers for this bright day Tessa.  I really love the horse, the expression is magic.
Love your 3 days of Christmas Alan.  I'm very impressed that the daily sketches have continued all year - especially those of you who started in January (I managed until March I think!).

MerryChristmas and Happy New year to you all. Love your horse Hilary, it made me smile. Nice tree trunk Gillian. You can't beat fresh flowers to cheer up a room Tessa. Margaret I have dipped in all year depending on work load. Well its day 4 of Christmas, today I have used the traditional Colly bird, which is a black bird.
Wondered what a Colly bird was Alan, great stuff. Lovely old gnarled tree trunk Gillian. I’m working on a sketch/drawing of my ‘three favourite thing
Well at long last I’ve picked up a pencil...a small miracle .  It’s not gobsmacking and won’t win any competitions .but it’s hopefully a first step back to creativity.  I saw these guys on my dog walk this morning...confused .com
Little by little....yes, mine are still flowering.
