Margaret I had a look at the PAOTW prog on FB and did this little sketch. I only watched for about half an hour but will look again later.
That's very good Tessa.  I must admit I've not seen an awful lot of the programme either - I froze the video to do a quick sketch.  I'm intending to watch more of it but it is very long!    Still practicing watercolour washes - another one based on a photo of RSPB Mersehead - this one was taken on a day with a very threatening sky.  A very loose sketch!

That’s very good Margaret. I especially like the near area. Yes the portrait artist film is very long and the beginning is pretty poor for sound etc and the fact that the subject couldn’t sit still, though he did get there after a while. The technology isn’t that good but maybe they’ll get better with practice! Like us I guess! Interesting idea though and easier to have a go at for us.
Like the painting Margaret, did you use salt in the foreground or is it run back of the water/ colours.
You’re achieving some interesting results Margaret, do keep going!
Thank you Tessa.   I liked the format much better than that live life drawing programme on (I think BBC4) a few months ago.   Thanks Dixie - I didn't use salt - very very wet paint which I let run one way, then tilted to run the other way etc.   Thank you Alan - I intend to!
I know what you mean! They are advertising another life drawing programme coming soon, think that’s BBC also. I’m just watching Museums in Quarantine on Rembrandt from the Ashmoleon. There’s a different museum and exhibition each night.
Just a small watercolour from me today, seems to have been busy day.
That Rembrandt exhibition programme sounds good Tessa - thanks for highlighting (I've hardly had my TV on over the last few weeks so probably missed quite a lot).   That fritillary is lovely Dixie - very fond of these flowers - really eye-catching with that gorgeous purple.
I have been busy working on a landscape painting of Arlington Row, did this very quick loose watercolour sketch of a wet, cold woodland from imagination. It was good to have a break from a tighter painting and to use up some of the colours in the pallet.
Very grey up here today so lovely to see your beautiful autumn colours, Dixie - I like this a lot, atmospheric and tranquil.
Thanks Margaret, it rained her most of the day , but the sun has just broken through , wind and sunny quite warn out of the wind thought.
