Glad your weather got better Dixie.  Still doing very wet experimental watercolours - this one based loosely on another photo of RSPB Mersehead.   Half (lengthways) A3
Like your flower and landscape Dixie, and Margaret that last one looks like a snorter of a day! Just realised rather late that I hadn’t done anything today, though I was painting earlier. Just a quick sketch with watercolour.
Well folks we are through April! I think I may be running out of steam for daily sketching as have actually started more painting again. However if anyone wants to continue into May I will join you. Maybe I just need a little encouragement! I have so enjoyed this in general since Margaret started it in January which seems like another world away. The sketching and the banter has been great and very supportive and the idea and inspiration is best when more people join in. So what do you think? Any ideas?
Come on Tessa you can’t flag now , it won’t be the same without you.
I haven't  done nearly as much sketching as I would have liked to but if this rolls over to May I will make a better effort. Got to finish laying turf in my garden first and that's taking time on my own. The work you guys have posted is great and makes me want to do more. Keep it up.
Thanks Dixie. I did say I needed a bit of encouragement! You set up May and I’m in. 😀
I will open up a new thread this later this evening unless someone beats me to it. First I need to do something for the last day of this one.
Today’s very quick sketch as need to finish a watercolour painting. Fishing boat on the mud at Hunstanton.
So I thought I needed to make a bit more effort on this last day of April. This is a pen sketch of a Cornish wall from a photo taken near Trevone a few years ago while on an art group holiday there. I think the walls are made of slate. Good memories and some photos which I’ve been keeping with a view to painting. Good boat scene Dixie, missed that, we must have been typing about the same time.

Tessa, don't think the weather was as bad as in my painting - the paint ran a lot more than planned!   (However, the RSPB rent out a couple of cottages on that reserve where we have stayed a few times - and we got flooded in twice - so very heavy rain not unknown there!!)   I like that quick figure sketch, Tessa, but I really like the Cornish wall - very well sketched and an interesting subject. You have all done very well in posting fairly continuously, unlike me as I had a break for a while this month - I continued doing daily sketches but just not posting them here for various reasons - laziness being the main one!   Hope to join you all at least occasionally in May if somebody sets it up. A very nicely sketched boat Dixie.
Thanks Margaret. Hopefully see you in May, sketching at least!
It will be good to have you with us in May Margaret, I alway enjoyed you work and as I said about Tessa it will not be the same without you.
