Very atmospheric Dixie - I particularly like the subtle touch of pink.   Yes, I've been finding it hard to concentrate on larger paintings too - have done one so far - though part of that is that the weather is too nice to stay in - fairly unusual up here!
I was stationed at Kinloss  in the 1980s had three great years of weather, and  superb scenery unfortunately I did no paint then. It was one of the best postings I had.

Kinloss is in a stunning area - have been up on holiday around there a couple of times.   I think the weather up there has a reputation for being sunny.   Edinburgh is not particularly wet but we are prone to bitterly cold winds and a "haar" or sea mist that seems to arrive whenever it looks like we are going to have a few days hot weather!   Did you have any other postings in Scotland?
Sadly not I was posted to Halton in Buckinghamshire to teach, and seedless down here. I have fond memories of Scotland and just loved the area, I would have happily settle there but was overtaken by events. I have visited several bases to help with inspections etc including  Invergorden as at the time it was a RAF Marine Craft unit , Buchan, and most of the west cost. Thanks for  asking it led to some great memories. 😊

I grew up near RAF Machrihanish - were you ever there?  Pity you had not been painting then - some fabulous places.  Sorry, more skies!  Both tonight - the colours were fabulous and changed from cool lemon snd blue/grey to vibrant red/orange/pink/yellow.

Fabulous skies Margaret and I love the distant landscape skyline.
I was never posted to Machrihanish ,bu had a couple of detachments there, lovely scenery. Here  is the wood engraving I did earlier now polished it’s brought out the redness in the wood. Probably do a few more coats of polish to give it more shine.
Today I attempted a quick half hour warm-up of a waterfall .. I have always had challenges depicting water in watercolour so here is yet another interpretation..
The water flows nicely Nandhini, I love the colours you have used. Another of my imaginary landscapes. A 10 min watercolour

Some super work here, lovely plaque Dixie, a very good waterfall and only half an hour Nandhini, and ten minutes Dixie. I’d better get my skates on! I haven’t done much today so here’s one I prepared earlier as they say.
Lovely woodwork Paul and super gnarly tree Tessa.. and Paul you have kept a light touch on your landscape.. superb..
More lovely stuff - your plaque has come up beautifully after polishing Dixie, and lovely soft colours in your landscape; very attractive waterfall, Nandhini - would love to live near a place like that at the moment!; really like the way you have used the pen on that tree Tessa.   I did quite a lot of sketching/painting yesterday - now need to post one of them online! Here is one of 2 quick sketches of our neighbour's cat under our birdfeeders (though I think it may have just because it was a cool spot)
