Love the evening sky Margaret, and your rabbit look good Tessa.Fine looking bread Gudrun, I normally bake bread but today for a change a made a plate size mince pie and some jam tarts both a first for me. I was watching some bees in the garden and as always was surprised at the fact they can fly, not very aerodynamic to say the least. Her if my feeble attempt at bees.
I bake my own bread too, but would be ashamed to show my latest loaf by comparison with that one of Gudrun's - yeast was too old, flour wasn't in its first youth either, AND I mixed too little water in the dough.  Still - tastes good.  And young Mr Dean makes carved walking-sticks, eh?  A common comment to visitors here at the Batcave is "how many legs have you GOT?", since I have quite a collection of sticks.  But still room for another, if you sell! I actually did a sketch today - very, very rough, and the fastest I've ever done, probably, because the critter just posed for a minute, looking out over the garden.  I may work it up into something better, it's conté crayon on the back of an old sketch pad.
I couldn't resist showing off.  It's the first time my bread looks like the picture in the book!  I have made it twice now so it's not a fluke.
That bread looks delicious Gudrun - yum!   I've not made bread recently but have been making lots of oatie biscuits every few days - and also a banana loaf a week or so ago.   I really like that bunny Tessa - you have caught that bunny posture perfectly. The bees have turned out very well Dixie and that squirrel is very good for an extremely rapid sketch Robert - I find squirrels horrendously difficult despite watching them quite a lot and having lots of photos.   I did do a sketch tonight but as it is still wet I will post it tomorrow.
I do or should I say did carve walking sticks Robert, but unfortunately due to having quite bad arthritis in both my hand I can no longer use the tools safety. I have one or two that I keep and use. Usually over the Easter holiday myself and a couple of the rangers take some children along with a parent and teach them to coppice a hazel pole and the cut simple decorations into the green wood. If you lived nearby I would happily help you do make your own, I even have a set of stag antlers we could use. My neighbours was saying yesterday his wish is to go beach fishing when he can, prompted this quick sketch.

Shame you can't carve your walking sticks any more Dixie.  A lovely wee sketch of more tranquil times -  and something to aim for. Another evening sky over Edinburgh - the recent skies have been lovely colours.  Watercolour plus a wee bit pen to stopnthe steeple being quite so squint!

Your Edinburgh skylines are lovely Margaret, that’s one advantage of living in a city. Dixie I like your fishing scene, very peaceful and appealing. I’m a bit late with mine this evening and it’s just a quickie of my pencil sharpener and a few shavings.
Last yesterday first today! Just waiting for my phone to charge.
As George Burns remarked when receiving a reward: "I don't deserve this award.  But then, I have arthritis and I don't deserve that, either."
Hi everyone. There have been some great sketches going on. I have still been sketching and painting, alongside garden projects. I have made a strawberry planter out off an old peddle bin and some plastic pipes. Here is a watercolour inspired by an article in Leisure painter
Nice quick sketches Tessa - particularly like the use of colour wash on the phone; that is a lovely vase of flowers, Alan.   Sorry - another sky - slightly different view - but couldn't resist the colours!

Nice  phone Tessa, lovely flowers Alan the colours are excellent, and your skyscrape is really colourful Margaret and inspired me to a sunrise. It’s from a photo take some months back when I was going into work, early morning near the yard where we keep the equipment. I’m enjoying doing these quick sketch as like a few others in struggling to do anything needing time.
