Liking the city scapes. Hope we see the building in all it’s colourful glory Hilary! Like the way you have captured the texture of the bark inn your sketch Dixie, it has got me thinking of going out and studying different trees! Here’s an essential item of clothing when off out here, plus the mandatory face mask!
Do go out and look at the trees Gillian, not only are the shapes different but each tree is different in colours and texture even the same kind. Good sketching practice as they offer so many shapes and sizes.

Two buildings and a beautiful bonnet nice work  folks. Hope you soon get settled in Ron and back to painting and sketching. I’m killing two birds with one stone so to speak, my offering is the basic layout for a watercolour painting of a Clyde Puffer boat , delivering coal etc to the island and highlands. Once a very comment event theses 100 ft ships were a life saver for isolated coastal communities. Some still ran until the late 1990s.
Some great variety over the last few days. I missed yesterday but here’s a subject I don’t think has been tried! And a little more finished version!

Love a good book especially John Grisham.  Great sketch on a very different theme. I haven’t drawn today will catch up tomorrow
Great sketch Tessa, I’m still working on this, but will post it now as I have my granddaughters come over for a few hours.
Thanks Hilary and Dixie. Not content with one old car Dixie!? I remember when I was a child my dad would take me to the scrapyard hunting for a spare part for an old car, in the days when you could fix your own car problem and pre-ordering from the Internet! Simpler days...and good memories of a different world.
Piles of cars and books - great subjects and well depicted. Paul, I’m looking forward to your painting of the puffer as it is one of my favourite things. I grew up with Para Handy and the puffers that sailed the Forth & Clyde canal, where I grew up. In fact they built puffers at one end of the town (Kirkintilloch).
So many really good sketches since I’ve been away and on a self imposed ‘no screen’ holiday, I shan’t comment because I’m bound to miss one out but I did have a chuckle at the barbershop, Tessa, as I’m off to the hairdressers tomorrow. I have been sketching so these are my sketches from the riverbank. One of them looks like my hair too!
More super sketches, great to see such a variety of subjects! Today is a subject close to my heart, love puffins ( Tammie Norries Orkney) and there are lots in my adopted home Orkney! Alas none in Spain 😂

A little scene from a village.  This is a little postcard size sketch pad I had for ages but fits in my handbag so ideal for quick drawings when out and about. Catching up with the grandchildren today. Beautiful riverbank paintings love these.  Also puffins, swans favourite birds.
Love the puffin Gillian, spent 2 weeks on the Shetland Isles 2 years ago and didn’t manage to see one! Lovely village scene Hilary, admire the detail.
