Nice one Gillian. From me today old buses at the last stop = the scrapyard. Pen and watercolour wash.
Love this Paul, I was a keen bus spotter as a kid so brings back memories of RT’s and RM’s😀
Great sketch, Paul. The one thing I remember about the old buses was the big fan heater behind the cab that used to make me feel sick, as a kid. Had a day off yesterday, as I’m running out of inspiration. Only 4 days of incarceration left and then hopefully parole for good behaviour (and another negative test).
Well I know it must be a right pain in the whatsit being locked up for two weeks Ron, but it’s good to see that they’re taking it so seriously there! Any luck with the property viewing?
Tessa, even the way they have closed the WA state border to other states makes me feel a bit safer. The only new cases here have been from incoming international flights, and they are reducing the numbers of people that can arrive. We had some friends do a 'proxy' house viewing, so we are hoping that it may still be available once we get there to have a look ourselves. I have some plein air stuff in my luggage so also looking forward to using it, if the rain keeps off (it's winter here).
Today's sketch is, again, architectural. Another of the lions that grace the facade of His Majesty's Theatre.
Buses bring back the memories! Regal lion Ron! Here’s a Moroccan lantern from me today.
That's a very intricate subject to sketch, Gillian, and looks really good.
Great sketch Gillian, I can imagine this illuminated
Some lovely and as ever, varied sketches in the last few days. I’m so glad this thread seems to have gained momentum again. We have an occasional quiet day, then whoosh...! This is a scribbly tree landscape from imagination this morning.
“Scribbly tree” looks fine. I think it’s a good technique to capture subjects quickly and give them volume. Had to think hard today, then our usual busker turned up down on the street corner. Try to guess what he’s playing and singing to.
Great imaginative posts from everyone, I’ll get back to it end of the week.
