Great news Lew!
I’ve received a response from Lucie earlier, I’ll be sharing it with some of the members shortly, but I’m not going public with it, I think enough has been said already and we should move on.
I understand why she made some of the statements, and apparently they weren’t directed solely towards me, but as I’ve had dealings with Lucie in the past where she’s helped me with a few issues, let’s just say that I was the nominated spokesperson, albeit I didn’t see it that way initially!

"So leaving would only affect me, I'd be shooting myself in the foot." I didn't copy all of Lew's post, just wanted to make the point that no, your leaving wouldn't only affect you, we'd all be the poorer for the loss of your marvellous paintings, and your contributions to the Forum. Which applies to all of you of course as well.

Sorry, have been missing in action on this. Having an extremely busy May.
I've looked at the artist's page, and it does seem to be a repetition of the style they used as far back as 2018 and earlier. AI just wasn't that available then. The blurring in the recent pictures is an attempt to portray movement, just a little overdone, perhaps?
However, I have concerns about the magazine. It's changed this year. There seems to be a reduction of content about painting per se. Which I thought was the main thrust of LP.
This is noticeable in any publication when a few pages consist only of full size images, form over matter.
I recommended TALP to those in my art group, some who wanted step by steps, now these are being reduced in the magazine. I feel a bit of a fraud.
Will be thinking about this, at subs renewal time.
Perhaps the over-reaction to Alan, reflected the fact that page 6 of the mag just delivered, is devoted to AI art?

Excuse me Alan but why has this now become all hush, hush. Share with some members and not others. This is all getting quite out of hand. Someone uploads others find it questionable members give it a negative response, it’s quite legitimate for anyone to say what they feel about it. Yet we the members are the problem and are to blame for something. It’s just plain crazy. I am really Sorry but I have had to say that. The bottom line is the real problem is not with anyone of us.

John - I didn’t want to share a private response from Warners with everyone, it was sent to me personally, but if I’d had your contact details I would have sent it to you, along with Robert and Paul who’s details I do have.
It responds to those of us who made a comment about these images being AI. So you’re obviously involved.
Paul or Robert has my email, I’m not giving it out on here, so let me have your details… or Paul or Robert could just as easily forward their copy to you… assuming you have their details!
Nothing intentional John, I’m trying to draw it to a conclusion really and move forward... I’ve wasted most of the day dealing with this.

Nothing hush hush no secretive conspiracy going on , as Alan said the email was sent to him personally , he chose not to share it publicly in the hope that it would bring an end to this discussion. Warners have made it very clear that they cannot ban or remove artwork in the gallery based on suspicion only as they cannot be sure enough that it is AI they wrote to the person asking for clarification. It they don’t clarify or do t bother to answer there is nothing thy can do . I deleted the message that Alan sent me as I thought it was no longer needed . The message was that they were not accusing Alan or anyone of bullying what the concern was that it could be perceived as bullying due to searching on like for more details and what looked like evidence gathering . What needs to happen now is to let the matter drop and get with the normal business of the forum , we cannot and Warner’s cannot prove any wrongdoing and therefore not much point in chasing around and around with a situation we have no control over . That does not mean that any comments adverse or otherwise are not acceptable on the forum , in fact the message Alan received mention heathy debate, this was actually becoming unhealthy and getting personal. As moderators we have ourselves stopped post that became personal , Warners have basically done the same . Can I ask that we let it stop here and of course if you are suspicious of AI on the site in the future flag it up with the administrative team in the first instance.

It’s all become or becoming a big misunderstanding. I do not want to really get involved. I said to much anyway, all so very naughty. As you say let’s draw this nonsense to a conclusion and move forward. Thank you for your response. I have supported the magazine subscriptions for many, many years not that I have needed them. For myself the way the POL site is going now I no longer feel the same way so I will no longer be subscribing to the magazines. Why should members subscribe when they are just no longer REALLY valued like in the past.

I've seen the response from Warners. I'm totally unimpressed by it. I don't think the person responding understands very much about the purpose of forums, or the reason for challenging AI. That's why I'm wondering what purpose might lie in continuing to support this site. Is it worth contuining with it? I don't know - but I'm totally unimpressed by the response form Warners and think they're obsessed with bang for their buck - well good luck with that, but it's just not what I've been here for all these years. And if I had been sympathetic to the company's commercial interests - I would not have thought that the sheer rudeness of the reply to Alan Bickley could ever be justified. If such a response had been sent from any company with which I've been involved, the person concerned would sacrifice their employment in very short order.
