That's where I first saw his work Sylvia.
Brilliant Michael.  It's a lovely gallery on a lovely island and no I can't spell  or pronounce that place ending in gogogoch !
It's  good to share our Wales, Russell .

There was another quite brilliant modern Welsh Artist Sylvia, Peter Prendergast who died in 2007 I believe. Well worth having a look at.
I shall add him to the list George , it will be a couple of weeks before he appears but would you like to choose the initial  painting and introduce him.
Yes I know him as well George .  I agree .  A contemporary ofKW .
Another modern Welsh artist whose work should be more well known is Peter Pendergast, who died rather to early in 2007.
He is now on the list George and will be up for discussion in a couple of week .
What a good week , the response to Sir Kyffin has been great and more so because new people have joined the discussion.  It tine to introduce Hercules Brabazon Brabazon, 1821 - 1906 born HB Sharpe but so good named it twice ( sorry for silliness). I came across his excellent artwork a month ago when setting up this thread , he is described as as a Turner style painter watercolorist I’m sure Alan will know more about that ad he is our Turner expert. I could go on for ages about his painting but could still fall short of praise, I wouldn’t bore you with my feeble effort to describe his work , but will let them speak for themselves. Enjoy your viewing and please to feedback if you feel able .

Never heard of this painter at all.  But If these are examples of his work I must go and look at more.   It's the light and simplicity that has struck me first and what he leaves out , very attractive Paul.  Thanks for the heads up.
Sylvia you have described my thought almost exactly when I first looked at his work , it quite breathtaking and has never dated in my view . Enjoy looking at his work I’m sure you will be delighted and it’s certainly a lovely  way to spend some time .
An exceptional watercolour painter, much of his work having a Turneresque quality. A long repetitive name but signed with his initials HBB on a slant. I’ve selected just two which particularly  appeal to me, yes the light of course but also the pure simplicity of his brush strokes and purity of colour.

Another fascinating artist who I’ve never heard of. I’ve just browsed some of his work and come up with these which I think are quite striking. This thread is becoming quite an education!
