I suggested Hercules Brabazon Brabazon , and will add him to the thread on Wednesday.

Having lived in Wales most of my life I’ve always been familiar with Kyffin Williams and love the feeling, simplicity and character of his work. I went to a centenary exhibition of his work at the National Museum in Cardiff in 2019 which was quite small but lovely to see. Here are a few I have chosen.

Some superb paintings chosen , his work is amazing , simple scenes without a lot of fuss . His style of painting looks simple and easy but when you really look it’s very well put together, I can almost hear him saying “ well it just sort of comes together “.
It takes a great craftsman to get this standard of just come together look ever time, even his portraits have that solid look to then but still have a gentleness to them. Bit like the Welsh people he depicted, living in a hard rugged environment, tough people with a soft centre.
