I like it - and that's saying something for me, because installations normally leave me as cold as yesterday's porridge. Quite apart from the subject and concept, you've used objects which are of interest in themselves.

Don't really know what you're on about but it used up a lot of words. Just to say, this is a painters website .... clue is in the title

Not a painting, but an insight into some of the other shenanigans I get up to... My practice actively asks questions about 'the spaces imbetween', and aims to connect large scale installation pieces with their backdrop or surroundings. Here I have used shadows and reflections to transform an exhibition space into a part of the artwork itself. During this project, it was important to me that my work, as a whole, signified and represented the closing gap between what is and is not considered art. For this reason I like my work to appear unfinished and raw. Candles still play an important part in my practice, and in some of my work, even hold the central roles. Here my work aims to be a part of everyone individually, and open their minds to forgotten memories. The simplicity of my work is essential in this, as to keep my work open to everybody.
