I can see so many things in this Katie, it's the antlers of a Red Deer stag, the waving fronds of seaweed, tall field grasses blowing in the wind as well as your tree, stare at it long enough and it becomes a shape shifting kind of thing, love the graduations in colour, yet another nice one well done.

The ‘We Were Never Here’ collection of representative paintings discussing the impact of the new world on the future of our species through a range of muted yet warm tones depicted in the form of trees within open landscapes. The title We Were Never Here plays with the idea of our existence being so brief on this Earth that all trace of our lives could disappear as quickly as we appeared. Tree of life portrays a bleak and insignificant existence lonely in an empty landscape. The depth of colour visible in the objective tree in the foreground contradicts the hazed wash of colour in the background, creating a subjective piece of art which seems to be open to interpretation.
