Thing in the Hills is a fantasy scene depicting creatures lurking beneath the night sky. The objective image itself only takes up around a third of the canvas while the rest is consumed by a wash of darkness, almost giving the viewer a feeling of looking through a porthole, or perhaps through half opened eyes.
