Nice work. Technical question: at what stage did you add the orange/yellow or did you use the lemon as a base and build up over it?Hard to get that orange sun bleeding through the clouds - terrific effect and nice echo at the base of the hedge.

Thank you Sarah, Fiona and Chris- really encouraging. Chris the yellow/orange was added at the end. I was faced most of the morning with a grey sky, it wasn’t until the sun peaked through the cloud just after sunrise that the cloud began to clear and there was the beautiful yellow reflected from the sun. I scraped that part of the painting back, and added the orange then the yellow, as the sun came through - I think it was more luck than judgement 🙈!!.... I hope this helps
