I painted it on a Wacom tablet using an artist brush and Corel Painter software. The actual technique I use is very similar to traditional media except I'm painting with light instead of pigment. Thank you for your comment, Dennis - I appreciate your comments as always.

Your work is fabulous. I am also a digital artist. (It took quite a while to be recognized for it.) I have very mixed emotions about this piece... For years, I built beds for my ex-wife, so that she could direct me as to where, and how to place the Never-ending array of Day Lilies she collected. One of the happiest days I had was when I sold that house, and moved away from her and those flowers!

Wib- We are a small group, for sure. I have been an artist all my life, and at the same time, such a Geek- meaning I love all things Geek - Computers, Cameras, Turntables, etc. When I discovered "Adobe" way back in the early 80's, I went Bananas. and after that Corel was born. (At that time I was a Beta Tester for Acoustica. I helped refine the music programs that are now so available. But Art is my True Love.

My wife is an avid gardener and enjoys growing a variety of flowers. She strives to have something blooming throughout the season - a truly dazzling show of colour from spring through to late fall. This painting is a bouquet of day lilies that she cut and gave to a friend. Now that we’re in the heart of winter it’s a promising reminder that summer is only six months away!
