Stunning colours Wib and I like the movement in the tree canopy. I like the winter winds howling about the windows Wib but I suppose an interlude to this paradise would be welcome once in awhile....lol

One of my favourite marine painters is Winslow Homer. I’m pretty much a fan of all his paintings but I especially like the ones he did while visiting the Caribbean – I particularly enjoy their bright airy quality and cultural ambience. In this painting of a tropical island evening I’m not trying to emulate Homer’s style but perhaps his spirit. A nice place to have in mind when winter winds are howling about the windows.
