Shining painting, Wib, and lovely flight of birds.

Fantastic effect with the reflections Wib, and proof that a limited palette can be so dramatic.

wow, this is gorgeous Wib, beautiful :)

Thank you Cesare, Marjorie and Maria. Marjorie, I was wondering how so much of one colour would work with the overall composition - I thought it might be overwhelming. However, I think it seems to work.

Well this is as near as I'm likely to get to seeing landscape like this, so you've opened a window for me on a world I don't know. Is this digital art, or produced in a more traditional medium? Certainly, the dominant colour is powerful but it doesn't seem oppressively or excessively so - and the birds (whose reflections would have driven me right up the wall and back down again if I'd had to get them right!) belong in the landscape and don't distract from it. A very strong piece.

Thank you Robert. Yes, this is a digital painting following for the most part the same workflow as for traditional mediums. I shared my workflow in a little more detail with one of my other pieces. Ahhh reflections......brilliant.

Very, very impressive Wib. The colours are great as for the geese , superb.

Thank you very much Peter and Andre.

I can see why this view made such an impression on your memory Wib, and why you have been able to give it life. Beautiful.

Love the composition and colours Wib, like this and many others in your portfolio, looking forward to viewing more in 2016 .

Thank you Graham and Fiona.

A beautiful image Wib...that little touch of purple in the water gives it a lovely surreal quality.

I remember once seeing a special place in the foothills covered in a breathtaking splash of bright yellow as a forest of aspens glowed in their autumn splendour in the afternoon sunlight. Adding to this spectacular burst of colour accented by a few evergreens here and there were their reflection in the unruffled surface of a nearby lake. I’ve tried to capture that memory in this painting – at least to some extend.
