Great frame and I like your limited palette Thalia.

I meant great 'drama' Thalia.

Great impact in this Thalia. Subtle colours and bold shades and shadows. Nice work on both, but this is my favourite.

Like this too. Striking palette, Thalia

Sounds wonderful Thalia, lovely contrasts in your painting.

Good work Thalia, I like the limited palette.

I looked at the other first and thought that was my favourite...then I saw this and changed my mind, I love the colours here, the purple is an excellent choice. How many paintings are ready now Thalia? And good luck!

Very powerful with great earthy colours Thalia!

Love the palette Thalia, nice work.

Another beauty Thalia.

Thank you so very much Carole, Jim, Dennis, Maureen , Carole S, Cesare, indeed it was just 3 colours plus white! Thanks, Marjoriek, Gudrun and Satu you're comments are much appreciated!

Thank you Fiona and Sandra, Thanks very much for all your good wishes for the weekend. I have no idea how many paintings I'm taking. I'm taking as many as my son and I can carry! Mainly tiny 5x3ins wc's as they should make good cheap C pressies!!! Plus the cards of course!

I love the strong lines and the simplicity of the image.

The second tiny oil on deep edge box canvas, 5x10ins, makes a matching pair with Mdina, this is the iconic view of the Cittadella. Tried to create a lot of drama within the deep shadows on the ramparts of the old fortress. It was built by the Knights of Malta in the 16th Century. It has been hugely renovated recently and is a fabulous place to visit now.
