I like the way you attack the subject, it looks alive Thai. It does remind me of Vincent’s starry night as well.

What a lovely thing to say, John, thank you very much, and yes now you've said, it does look a bit Starry Night-ish!!! thank you Carole, yes very different for me, and thanks for saying it's effective...I was quite unsure about it, the under painting almost dictated what I painted!

Very effective fireworks Thalia. They contrast well with the really dark areas you have painted.

Painted over another painting using the lumpy surface to its best advantage, this is an imagined Festa scene looking over the Grand Harbour , Valletta, at all the fireworks. I decided to keep to a very limited palette, limiting the colours of the fireworks to a basic Naples yellow and white.
