Yes I agree Thalia, the details seem to stand out better and I like to use the inktense for shading areas, this is another great boat scene with lovely colours again. 😀

Nice use of negative space for quiet water Thalia. Lovely boat scene.

Another winner Thalia, good feeling of depth.

5 x7!! That's massive for you, Thalia. Another lovely pic with those wonderful boats.

Lovely rich use of colour Thalia and so much conveyed with economy of line.

Great colours and composition Thalia.

I like the way you convey a complex vista with just a few brush strokes to suggest detail. Well done Thalia.

Another of your lovely boat scenes.

I know the place well. Well caught

Another two marvellous boat scenes, they are both smashing Thalia.

Thank you, Linda, that's a really helpful comment, as it's the first time I've used them, may well continue with them on occasions. Thank you, Jim, using Amanda Hyatt's ideas again here! Thank you Stephen, helpful remark, Yeah, really massive , ha ha, Lewis! Thank you Marilyn, high praise from you with all your brilliant realism! Thank you Carole, Ronald, Sandra, Margaret, and yes, James, but these lovely Luzzus are fast disappearing from our waters! A huge thank you to everyone today, for taking so much time and trouble over your helpful comments. This was a first attempt with the Inktense pencils, as pencils don't suit my fast action and often very inaccurate style of working!

This is very calming. The water screams tranquility Thalia. Very soothing to the soul.

Th3 strong foreground is so effective and the HP paper is great for the lovely water washes

As always Thalia ! Enough said !!!

Thank you very much, Carole, Diana, and Richard, kind and helpful comments, I really do appreciate your wise remarks.

This is a larger picture 5x7ins on Bockingford HP. I love HP when I'm doing complicated boat scenes like this one. Used a few touches of coloured Inktense pencils to try to get the lines more accurate.
