Comments

I live in Cornwall and the walls are are wonderful features which you capture perfectly

Great drawing Tessa

Brilliant sketching and observation Tessa.

Lovely drawing Tessa..my favourite place.. I have been there 3 summers and endless ocean watching..

Thank you Jonathan, lucky chap living there! Many thanks Heather and Michael for your kind and encouraging comments , and thanks Nandhini , yes I love the ocean watching also, could sit for hours watching the waves roll in!

Lovely sketch Tessa and looking at your wall I would say it's slate.

Lovely drawing Tessa, and yes many walls in Devon and Cornwall are built of slate. If not they are granite, but these are the former. I'm a local.

Many thanks Janet, Linda D and Linda W! Glad to have it confirmed as slate. I remember when we first went to my friends holiday home there, being told to be extra careful driving along the narrow roads, as those lovely green roadside hedges are NOT soft, walls underneath!

As you know I love and sketch walls etc. These slates are very very good !

I do know Richard! Can’t beat a good wall, especially a broken tumbledown one. 😀

Excellent Tessa, will make a superb painting.

Makes you wonder what beasties are lurking in those holes. Fab sketch

Thank you Dixie and Jennifer, hadn’t thought of beasties!
