Oil on 12"x10" canvas board applied with palette knife. I visited the Yorkshire coast in September and spent some time in Staithes sketching and photographic this place of character. I decided to try a new style with this painting in an attempt to develop a looser style. I am pleased with the end result as it is the image that i had in my mind before starting the painting (doesn't happen often)
