Just lovely, Bob! I actually like HP, but yes, it can be a bit unforgiving!

A lovely scene and watercolour Bob. I like the palette you’ve used and the treatment of the background, it doesn’t compete with the stars of the show.

Not sure if I like working on HP paper, the Not and Rough papers seem more forgiving with watercolour, but I have a few 1/4 Imperial sheets left so I'll persevere with it. Maybe I'll do a gouache on it and see how that goes. Like many of my small paintings, I've turned this one into a card. Colours used were mostly Raw Sienna, Light Red, Cobalt and Ultramarine blues, Raw Umber and Warm Sepia. For a change, most of the work was done with a 16mm Sable One Stroke flat brush.
