This is wonderful Stephen, everything about it sings - the colours, composition, light, sense of distance and, oh yes, it's BEAUTY!

Beautiful scene, Stephen. Love the effect of distance which you have achieved.

This is beautifully painted, I love you interpretation of this superb scene.

Don't know the Rowland Hilder work, but this is terrific. Brilliantly subtle washes in the sky, and a great sense of distance.

Smashing painting Stephen.

Just echoing others; beautifully done Stephen..

This is so very striking Stephen and I agree with all the other comments. Wonderful work.

Lovely subtle washes. Lovely painting 🖼

Great painting, Stephen. Love the depth in it!

Very good work Stephen, I agree with the other comments, the flock of birds adds to it also.

Many thanks Heather, David, Paul, Lewis, Christine, Denise, Jim, Carole, Faye, Mia & Stephen.

Beautiful, the land stands out very well against the distant shore Stephen.

The light you have achieved is just gorgeous. Love it.

This is a wonderful composition and a great painting of light. It positively glows.

Many thanks Carole, Carrie & Brian.

Many thanks William & Robert. Regarding my influences, I admire Rowland Hilder in many respects but also David Bellamy & his skies. Ray Cambell Smith was an excellent artist but I still tend to favour a more technical style but that's to do with my training. I try paint in a more looser style but I'm always failing. He Ho!

An excellent watercolour ! Love everything about it.

Many thanks Avril.
