Well, I really like this one Robert. Those white lines really bring the painting to life. I like the way that you've grouped the trees and although you say that you're not sure, it's actually one of my favourites of your paintings! It has a fresh, vibrant feel to it. Very nice!

Keep them coming Robert. Powerful painting for a watercolour.

I like the swell of the hills and the feeling of movement in this painting Robert. Lovely:)

Great movement in this painting Robert, great work!! Love the reversed contrasts from mid to foreground!

I am with Louise on this one, Robert, I really like that group of trees on the left and the white lines which give the painting a lovely feeling of life and movement and the sense of the ground falling away

My usual excuse for not commenting on your work is that I only look over the watercolours. Well I'm going to have rethink my strategy, because I missed this lovely blowsy and breezy scene. I'm terrified of greens; you're not it seems. Thanks for looking at the Bismarck. You're right, they were lovely vessels. My (Norwegian) grandparents were treated to the sight of several of the great ships during the war - Scharnhorst, Gneisenau - as they hid from the RAF in the inner fjords. I believe my grandmother saw HMS Hood on some sort of goodwill cruise in the 1930s. She too was a sleek ship despite being a mature lady compared to her German rivals. What a loss, what a waste....

This is also a not very good photograph, but nowhere near as bad as my recent oils; I've shown it on my blogspot (www.wightpaint.blogspot.com) but not here. It's rather freely adapted from an acrylic I presented to my brother on his birthday (at his request, I should add....). I don't know that I like it much, but I do quite like the sky. Around 14" x 12", on Bockingford Rough. (I thought if someone else has posted 18 or more pictures in one go, I might as well add a third.....)
