Yes Alan, you said leave it (the oil) alone, and so far I have - can I continue to restrain myself, though....? I'll try getting a better photograph of it, and see if you still think so: you might not! Thanks to all for comments. I rather like this format - it suits the coast where I live.

A watercolour version of an oil I'm working on - a bay on the south east coast of the Isle of Wight. I don't know whether to finish the oil or not or leave the underpainted version, which sort of works; so in the meantime, I did this.

Born November 18th 1950. Former party political agent, former chairman of housing association. Has worked as a volunteer with the NHS since 2000, painting seriously for the last ten years, sporadically for the last 50. Member, National Association of Painters in Acrylic from October 2015
