It's a super piece Robert

Followed this on the forum, Robert, interesting to see how it developed. Lovely colours, especially the blues and greens in the foreground.

I like it Robert, like the light on the water especially. Sorry to hear you having trouble with your eyes Robert.

Sorry to hear about the eye, Robert, but you seem to have overcome the handicap admirably. It's a super piece - lovely palette, wonderful textures and a very tranquil atmosphere.

This has turned out in a most wonderful way Robert. Somewhere we can sketch one day?

Beautiful colours, beautiful painting Robert.

It's another winner Robert!

This really is an eye catcher, Robert. It gives the impression of real tranquillity. Sorry to read about your eye problem. Wish you all the best, Mia.

Thanks to all - Derek, could be.... but as it's painted from memory we might have a bit of trouble finding it.

Thanks Robert for your comment on my last post, I haven't been so prolific this year as yet, just a general slowing down process I expect rather than any illness. My main problem is getting the right material to work with and I can't get out much at this time of year but glad to hear that you have recovered from both that bad cold but more importantly the eye op went reasonably well and was a success. I had missed this little painting of yours, everything moves so fast on the gallery. I do admire the effort that you put into your paintings, you think carefully about your colours and I must say that this is superb. I particularly like the water and the general composition with the high eye level. To be really critical and I know that you won't mind me making this comment but I would have broken up the line of reeds in a couple of places, the almost solid line does tend to split the painting into two halves so to speak. Acrylic, 8" by 10". I've decided I need to carry on painting and make the best of the eye problem I've got at the moment, for fear of going into sharp reverse. This is one I began when I couldn't sleep and three-quarters finished in the early hours of the morning; then wasn't quite sure where to go with it in the cold light of day. But I like the colours! I've simplified it a bit because I was trying to make it something it was never really going to be (see it in WIP form over on the Forum). It is what it is - for better or worse.
