Lovely gentle poppy painting. I have just attempted another poppy painting, a bit brash at the side of your Sarah.

Delicate was the first word that came into my mind when I saw this lovely painting of poppies Sarah. It's also beautifully drawn and I like the merging of different colours. Well done!

This is lovely Sarah. As well as the delicate looking flower heads, I like the way you've just hinted at the leaves and poppy centres. You've resisted the temptation to darken those centres too much and my goodness, it works!

Thank you very much Louise. I use sepia pens rather than black ink pens which, I think, helps to keep everything understated.
