A watercolour on Whatman 140lb rough paper. I try to avoid using masking fluid whenever possible so the white daisies were not masked out. I find if you work with really wet paint and a well filled brush and paint as quickly as you can the background isn't too much of a problem! You just need to concentrate on keeping any edges wet to stop backruns and hard lines appearing. The finished painting measured about 12x8 ins www.artbyrachel.co.uk
