Snowdrops at Lady Ann's Well

Val, this is simply gorgeous! I like the slightly abstract quality about the painting, the colors and the unusual way you depicted the scene.

This is absolutely charming . It projects someone ( must be Lady Ann) with a pure spirit, and exquisite . Very, very lovely...

Very realistic moss it seems to stand of the paper, and you have really captured the semi decomposed nature of the fallen leaves. There is a term i have heard of in my part of the world, which is to say that youre painting is very 'glastonbury' . like it.

A truly wonderful work Val! so intricate, it is a lovely design!

Super colour, and a lovely and interesting composition.

Thank you everyone for your wonderful comments and Helen, I rather like that my painting is very "glastonbury" a lovely compliment.

Nearly abstract ... I like it very much.

Very abstract feel to this painting, Val. A patchwork of textures and colours. So much work must have gone into it and it has definitely paid off.

Love the painting but had to look for ages to find the snowdrops! there's one thing it makes you look!!! Jx

Soft pastel on colourfix. Lady Ann's Well is a natural spring in the Ochils in Central Scotland. Difficult to spot most of the time it's whereabouts becomes more noticeable this time of year because of the snowdrops around it. Comment and critique very welcome, thanks for looking.
