ABSOLUTLEY WONDERFUL, YES YOU HAVE CAPTURED THAT LOOK, HER EYES AND HAIR ARE SPOT ON, LOVELY CAT PORTRAIT.

And doesn't she just look like a Jezebel!! Oh I love that enigmatic look which you have captured beautifully. The fur is wonderful too. Agree with the above....Spot on.

And I must add...Wonderful colours you have used.

I had a cat like this once - she would wait under the table until you walked past and then attack your ankles! The eyes are beautiful - but say so much! and her fur is so strokeable. Lovely!

Beautifully done. The eyes are mesmerising (and a bit scary!) and the light on the head is magic. Wonderfully painted fur.

Such brilliant work Val! It is superb.

Val, I have to laugh, she looks positively disgruntled! The fur and eyes superb.

She's not pleased, is she..... And if she were mine, she'd be off to the vet on a one-way trip if she bit me whenever she felt like it; but she does have character, and you've painted her beautifully. Hope you survived the encounter intact - she looks ready to have a really good go at any second. Like living with a tiger in your house.....

I agree with all the above - perhaps not a one-way trip to the vet's! - it's a super painting. The fur, eyes and colours. Well done.

Thank you everyone for your encouraging remarks, means a lot to me. Now, anyone want a second hand cat?!! ( Hope my sister in law doesn't find her way on to this site, I think I'll be in trouble! )

Hi Val, beautifully done as always. My Westie often sits in my studio when I,m painting but I,d find it a bit offputting if Jezebel had me fixed in those eyes! you really have captured the "hunters stare". Thanks for your comments on my painting, as you so rightly intimated, I have been tied up for the past few months with exhibitions, but have to catch up on my backlog now, ready for Christmas exhib.

Oh! what an evil cat, beautifully painted

Texture of fur is great and the look in her eyes, well you have certainly depicted anger very well!!! She has beautiful eyes.

Soft pastel on colourfix 30/23cm. I'm a doggy person so this is only the second cat I have painted. Jezabelle is a bit of a minx in that she will sit there quite happily whilst you stoke her then suddenly turn with an evil glint in her eye and bite you! I have tried to capture that look. Thanks for looking, C & C very welcome.
